In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, PT KHI Pipe Industries continues to support national strategic projects, especially national energy security fot the construction (replacement) of pipeline Rokan Oil Block, which is the backbone (one third) of national petroleum production along 370 Km from the Rokan field with an estimate of oil to be transported around 250.000 barrels per day. The pipes of this project are entirely using steel produced by PT Krakatau Steel (Persero), Tbk. This is in line with President Joko Widodo’s direction to use domestic products in national infrastructure development.
PT KHI Pipe Industries itself supplies steel pipes with a pipe diameter 20 inches along 67 Km and also provides anti corrosion coating application services (3-Layer Polyethylene and Concrete Weight Coating) and has made its first shipment on August 9, 2020 and is expected to be completed in the month of October 2020.
